PFC Raymond A. Cole was killed by gunfire after climbing Poin du Hoc, a cliff on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. The 2nd battalion F Company had spent a year preparing in England before making this invasion to liberate France from Germany. His family in N.H. are so very proud of our hero.
